The band gets their name from some graffiti that was scribbled on the bathroom wall "well martin this is different" and for short just WMTID. On their own myspace WMTID have this to say about the song Transfacist “’Transfascist’ pulsates, a tangle of hi-tech venom and a wicked rhythm that’ll shift the microns in your body….Fearsomely enigmatic.” And as always the DL is @ 320.
Here is a funk track from the Dayton, Ohio group Sun. They formed in the late 70s and played on into the early 80s, but never scored a big hit so a lot of their tunes have been forgotten. Here is one of my favs and the dl is @ 320 as usual.
Here are some funky breaks for the heads. Meet Andrew Black--along with making this awesome breaks record, he also drums in local DC bands Title Tracks and Domino Team. Go over to Turntable Lab and cop his record, or walk/drive over to Som Records on 14th NW right off of U St and get it there. As always the DL is @ 320--enjoy.
